Grill Search

Today's most unique grill is the Hampton with 3 stacking grills in one.  You can roast a turkey on one third of the grill, while slow cooking on another third, and searing on the remaining space (click here to see more). Another interesting eye catcher is the Chicago brick oven, which is mobile. In addition,  Outdoor Kitchen World has many accessories to go with your island, including a new 260 series that looks great. Fire Magic grills also came out with great looking products and the largest grill now has a motorized hood with the hot surface ignition, digital 4-zone thermometer, propane tank drawer, and heat zone separators. With such amenities, they rise to the top of the grill list again.

Evaluating that list is Kevin Malone, who is a grill expert that has a particular style of deciding what grill would best suit consumers. He attends the show every year to put the latest and greatest grills to the test.  He has found that size matters depending on what you, as the consumer want. Other important areas that he tests are the cooking surface, burners, types of fuel source required, and amount of maintenance involved for the grill's upkeep. He literally buys meat and cooks it on each grill to verify the manufacturers' claims. Then, he looks at features that other grills may or may not have. In order to make an accurate recommendation of a particular grill, the features, price, overall grilling capabilities, and the integrity of the manufacturer must come into play. In the past years, three main manufacturers have led the industry in all areas based on my recommendations as well as the opinions of other experts in the field. The following is a list of prior winners by year:

2008 - Echelon Series Gas Grills by Firemagic
2007 - 50" Commercial Stainless Steel Longhorn Gas Barbecue Grill on a Cart by Bull
